literature

"the art of written works"
"The body of written works of a language, period, or culture."
"The art or occupation of a literary writer."

This are just some of the definitions of literature that I was able to find, but for me the best of them is the one given by Rebecca West.
According to her literature is an,

Imaginative or creative writing, especially of recognized artistic value: "Literature must be an analysis of experience and a synthesis of the findings into a unity".

This statement of Rebecca West appeals to me the most because I believe that literature is not just a simple written work or document. Literature for me is something unique,it is base from the authors experiences or perhaps of his creative mind and artistic skill.

Literature for me is :

A vast sky filled with stars.
A sky with no boundaries, and stars being unique in their own way.
Same with literature that we can never objectively define, because for me the meaning of literature depends on how a man will perceive it.
